The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for October 26, 2026

Tue, 27 Oct 2026

Starting in the first hour and continuing writ large, this episode is a teeter-totter.

Nick’s theme for this episode is inflicting things on the listeners. To start with, the Milwaukee Brewers, currently in the world series, have an unintentionally viral song for the playoffs. The reaction to it is predictable if you know anything about this audience. However, a comment Bob made to Nick – and Nick’s hard reaction to it – triggered a long overdue conversation about some AI ethics. The yin and yang in action.

It continues into the second hour. There isn’t any significant annual anniversary, but this year, Bob’s father’s passing date of October 23 came and went, hitting him harder than it’s done in years. Bob plays a montage Nick made of moments from that show, coupled with one of his and his father’s favorite songs. A comment from John Moore fostered the second serious discussion of the night, in which the atmosphere of that episode was adjudicated.

But then… What do the Moshi kids and Nick’s mother have to do with anything? There are the yin and the yang again.

The show is rounded out by a creepy, but extremely well executed song featuring Katie from the Stellar Anderson Project – look out for Bob’s reactions – a follow-up from last week involving a drumming politician at The Oyster Fest that Nick believes Bob should’ve brought… Was he right? And the usual phone calls and messages, including some excellent lines from the likes of Jayson, Derek, and Jeffrey.

For this year, this is what serves as a Digital Domain Halloween show. It’s here for your downloading pleasure.

This episode is brought to you by… a lady named Regan.

Yes, Bob’s friend is the cause for quite a bit of content this week, from audio of her making Bob dance around that could actually make you slightly dizzy if wearing headphones, to one of the songs Bob chooses to play… Regan might have taken Bob to a classic rock gig and might have finagled their way backstage. Did she? Did they? The story is in the episode. Did a drummer who plays younger than his years get involved?

The Oyster Fest happened again, and this time, Bob actually plays a song from it, as well as the aforementioned dancing. Wear headphones, or don’t, your choice.

These descriptions usually mention phone calls and messages, but that’s a particularly loaded statement this time around as the first half hour was a true phalanx of phone calls, requiring a little air traffic control. There was a lot of banter though, between Bob and Ray taking turns to act like asses and a brand-new listener/first time caller who simply wanted to say Hello.

While the episode was shortened – Nick didn’t have the pain of a migraine, but he had everything else – it did what it needed to on this day and is here for your downloading pleasure.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for October 12, 2026

Math and history? Yes, the first hour is unusually educational because Jayson teaches us about 8-bit integers, related to a toy Baseball game, and Ray teaches us about some Radio history, related to him meeting one of his radio heroes. Find out more by downloading.

Meanwhile, there’s a lot of musical discussion, and Bob wanted to get Nick’s Metalhead Meathead opinion of several things involving William Shatner, thanks to His interview on Eddie Trunk’s Podcast. Meanwhile, also metal-adjacent, Alex has sent in a Hardstyle track that features one of Nick’s favorite singers…But does Nick like it? He’ll certainly tell you.

Also, what’s the number one song in both the US and the UK…and what does everyone think of it? And what phrase does Bob thoroughly overuse in the process to the point of it being called out?

All that plus phone calls and messages…Nick and Bob did the show together with their listeners. Download it!

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for October 5, 2026

Episodes following particularly big or long specials can be of a kind…More relaxed. This one was that, as far as it’s shorter than other episodes, but it still has stuff to in which you might sink your teeth. Technical problems nearly scuttled the whole thing, but during the show, Derek released a plugin whose demo was funny enough for this radio show. That’s not the only piece of software demonstrated tonight, as Nick’s released one of the stupidest games ever, developed for a good reason. John Moore visited a High School Reunion and presented recordings thereof, plus told an Uber story. One of the recordings reminded Nick and Bob of one of the favorite pieces of audio of year’s past…Which one? Bob has audio from the first Islanders home game of the season, but not before ‘Me, Myself, and Chip’ nearly broke the hsow. Between these and the usual phone calls and messages, it was fun following up to last week’s content explosion. Enjoy!

The Digital Domain Online Anniversary Show for September 28, 2026

Tue, 29 Sep 2026

What a show! Let’s not bury the lead here: this episode lasted more than 3 hours and is the longest episode since the 20th anniversary show. It fits, as 24 years ago today was the first time Nick and Bob ever actively tried—even if without any skill—to promote something called ‘The Digital Domain Online Radio Show’. With a brief nod to the week that was in the form of a brief discussion about the weekend’s Nor’easter, and a small technical discussion via Jayson, the theme of this episode was the show itself, or, as Tabitha coined it, ‘No, we’re not doing Origins…’ A large part of that came in the first hour, as Nick and Bob requested favorite moments from the listeners. In the third hour, memories were gamified, as they played ‘Show Roulette,’ a game in which the listeners would pick a random Friday before 2023… If an episode occurred on that date, Nick would jump to a random point in that episode and see what happened. The archives selected by the listeners were June 19, 2009; April 19, 2013; January 14, 2011; January 29, 2016; and the classic, November 11, 2011. Those two hours sandwich the second, dominated by a story Nick and Bob had AI write and voice. What would happen if, on a random Wednesday, Nick and Bob switched bodies? It’s a showcase of the latest and greatest, as well as an absolute blast to listen to—the listeners loved it, even in spite of the considerable length. As much as anything, this show celebrates the considerable achievement of lasting these 24 years… Here’s hoping the 25th year brings even more fun. Download this archive, and we thank you for tuning in.
